Job Summary:
Global Sales Manager (Maritime, CyberSecurity) is responsible for driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships within the maritime industry. This role focuses on selling ship cybersecurity solutions, requiring an in-depth understanding of IACS UR E26 and E27 regulations as well as proven expertise in selling technical solutions. The position involves working closely with clients in the global maritime industry to understand their needs, deliver tailored solutions, and achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for cybersecurity solutions compliant with IACS UR E26 and IACS UR E27 regulations
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
- Generate revenue opportunities, build client relationships, and implement sales plans to exceed monthly and annual goals
- Manage teams and monitor performance to achieve sales targets
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends for strategic insights
- Drive the acquisition of major new accounts within timely sales cycles while maintaining an active pipeline
- Propose tailored solutions that reflect customer requirements
- Develop strategies aligned with client objectives and KPIs
- Collaborate with technical departments to provide optimal solutions for customers
- Frequent travel (30-50%) to support sales efforts, meet prospects, and attend industry events
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 20 years of sales experience (Vessel, cybersecurity, or technology industry considered an advantage)
- Over 4 years of selling cybersecurity solutions or vessel sales experience
- Knowledge of IACS UR E26 and IACS UR E27 regulations
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales reporting tools
- Familiarity with technical concepts related to ship systems, IT, and OT cybersecurity
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in the vessel industry
- Experience in managing global projects
- Proven team management and leadership experience
- Background in engineering, vessel, or cybersecurity
- Established network within the vessel industry, including shipowners, classification societies, and regulatory authorities
