Job Summary

As a Maritime Cyber Security Presales Consultant, you will support and participate in analyzing customer cybersecurity requirements and proposing security solutions and services tailored to maritime environments, including shipyards, ship owners, marine equipment manufacturers, and classification societies. 
This role involves collaborating with customers, sales teams, and technical organizations, leveraging expertise in maritime IT/OS systems, cybersecurity technologies, and industry regulations to address customer security challenges and contribute to business development opportunities. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor market trends, technology developments, and regulatory changes in the maritime and cybersecurity industries, including IMO and IACS UR E26/E27, and provide strategic cybersecurity guidance to customers
• Analyze cybersecurity requirements for vessels, fleets, shipyards, and operational environments, and recommend appropriate security solutions and services
• Assess shipboard IT/OT systems, network architectures, and operational environments to define solution scope and deployment approaches
• Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and presentations alongside sales teams to articulate the technical value and differentiation of cybersecurity solutions
• Prepare and deliver technical proposals (RFP/RFI responses), presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements
• Communicate customer requirements and field feedback to product and engineering teams to drive product enhancements and service improvements
• Support cybersecurity assessments, risk analysis activities, and regulatory compliance initiatives for customers
• Collaborate with shipyards, vessel owners, classification societies, and strategic partners to identify and develop new business opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, IT infrastructure, or related technology fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Sales, Presales, Solution Engineering, or Security Consulting
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales for cybersecurity solutions, including network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and asset visibility/inventory
• Experience in analyzing customer business and technical requirements and translating them into solution proposals
• Experience in delivering technical proposals, presentations, product demonstrations, and responding to customer technical inquiries
• Experience in collaborating with sales, product, engineering, and project teams
• Ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate effectively with customers in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Industrial Cyber Security
• Understanding of shipboard IT systems, onboard networks, ship automation systems, or maritime communication systems
• Understanding of relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, including IMO Guidelines, IACS UR E26/E27, IEC 62443, and NIST CSF
• Experience in collaborating with shipyards, ship owners, classification societies, or marine equipment manufacturers
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, conducting product demonstrations, performing Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements, or participating in security assessment and risk analysis projects
• Professional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, CEH, or Security+
• Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS/SCADA) security
