Job Summary:

We are looking for a Frontend Product Engineer to design and build intuitive, reliable user interfaces for a maritime-focused cybersecurity compliance platform.
This role sits at the intersection of product thinking, frontend engineering, and user experience, transforming complex regulatory and cybersecurity requirements into clear, usable products.

You will work closely with product managers, backend product engineers, security architects, and designers to deliver frontend solutions aligned with maritime compliance and operational realities.

Responsibilities

1. Product-Oriented Frontend Engineering

  • Translate product requirements and regulatory needs into user-centric UI/UX designs and frontend implementations
  • Own frontend features end-to-end: UX design → implementation → integration → release
  • Balance usability, technical feasibility, and long-term maintainability

2. Maritime Cybersecurity & Compliance Visualization

  • Build frontend features that support:
    • Maritime cyber resilience workflows
  • Visualize complex concepts such as:
    • Asset inventories and dependencies
    • Risk scores, compliance status, and audit evidence
  • Support audit readiness and class submission workflows through clear, structured UI

3. Frontend Architecture & Platform

  • Develop modular, maintainable frontend applications
  • Ensure frontend applications are:
    • Deployable in Container-based environments
    • Compatible with on-prem, onboard (edge), and private cloud deployments
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and data models

4. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Product managers (requirements, prioritization)
    • Backend product engineers (APIs, data flows)
    • Designers and security engineers (usability, accuracy)
  • Continuously improve frontend quality through user feedback, metrics, and iteration

Minimum Qualifications

  • Frontend Engineering Skills

    • Strong experience with frontend development (React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks)
    • Experience building data-driven, stateful web applications
    • Familiarity with API integration and asynchronous data handling
    • Solid understanding of frontend architecture and component design
  • Product Mindset
    • Ability to think beyond UI implementation: “What problem does this screen solve? Who is the user?”
    • Comfortable making trade-offs between UX quality, development speed, and scope
    • Experience working with ambiguous or evolving product requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to maritime, OT, or ICS environments
    • Shipboard systems, industrial control interfaces, operational dashboards
  • Familiarity with:
    • IEC 62443
    • ISO/IEC 27001
  • Experience with:
    • Compliance dashboards or audit-oriented products
    • Visualization of complex technical or regulatory data
  • Experience building products used in regulated or safety-critical industries
